Yet to be used. Final Reflection Blog

1. In what ways do you think you improved your professional presence after completing the eP?

Completing this eP allowed me to create a platform to show my work, abilities, and skills. With a sleek and modern design, it gives a very professional look. This was highly needed as I’m closely getting into my field of career. Employers can access valuable lifelong information from the click of a button. This is great for job employment opportunities. With this platform being virtual, we can maintain a safe distance as were going through a pandemic at this time.

2. Identify and explain what you like most about your eP.

What I like the most is the process. Creating this allowed me to really step into my professional field. I wasn’t sure what an ePortfolio was before this assignment and I’m grateful that I do know now. I also like the abundant amount of personal information provided.

3. Identify the most challenging aspect of the eP.

The eP wasn’t very challenging honestly. The assignments didn’t give me much trouble whereas placing the assignments did for the most part. Designing it was also a little challenging but nothing I couldn’t overcome. I never used Wix.com or created an eP before so constantly working and editing this platform allowed me to get comfortable.

4. What advice would you give future students about the eP?

My advice would be to pay close attention to the eP rubric and requirements carefully. I missed a few requirements prior to turning in some of my work that effected my grade. I would also say to knock out all work on a timely manner. Its possible to hurt your grade when everything is done last second. This will ruin the quality of your work because you’re trying so hard to avoid a ‘0’.

5. What component of this course was most interesting to you?

The most interesting component was chapter one at the beginning of the semester. Learning the concept of conflict really intrigued me because it’s portrayed so differently in society. Not only was the teaching interesting but showing the class videos of examples was as well. It really helped us understand as a class. I can’t speak for everyone, but I was very confused on the material early in the semester which made me really think. Once the class work was understanding my brain was thankful.

6. What did you learn from the Conflict Management Style Analysis or Case Study?

My Conflict Management Style Analysis really taught me a lot about myself that I didn’t know. I understand my primary/default conflict style. I’ve been on this earth for 20 years and I finally understand who I really am. Instead of hearing it from others, I was able to write It on a piece of paper to observe. This assignment really made me reflect on past experiences and how I could change my wrongs in the future. Before you can relate and understand someone else you must know yourself first. No need to fid yourself when you know who you are.

7. How do you think this course could benefit you in your chosen career?

My chosen career is to become a college football coach. I could rely on the material taught in this class because there isn’t a day where you have conflict. Whether is personal or relational you can’t escape it. A football team is full of competitive athletes, and as one I completely understand why there is so much conflict. As a coach its good to understand your players and other coaches to avoid certain situations that result in losing. To build a great winning program you must relate to one another on a different level.
